- Óscar Tabárez will be expected to ring the changes once again, especially on the frontline where Edinson Cavani and Luis Suárez, the latter netting twice from the substitute bench, look set to be recalled to the starting XI.
- Abel Hernández may start the encounter following his four goal haul against Tahiti, meaning Diego Forlán will be forced to settle for a place on the bench.
- Andrés Scotti is suspended following his red card on Sunday evening.
